Who I Am : Kylie ;)

Hi! My name is Kylie.

I love exploring NYC because of the multitude of clothing shops that allow me to look at the different fashion styles or trends. My friends and I love going over to Soho or the thrift stores over in Brooklyn for inspiration and seeing how fashion differs in different parts of the city. I love being able to experience the energy and environment of NYC because you never know what you may see in the city. That’s the beauty of NYC, it allows for spontaneity and viewing a variety of cultures (food, fashion, traditions, and even more). My whole family are obsessed with the food in the city because of how much there is to explore and try out. One summer, we made it a goal to try out a new restaurant once a week so we could go on our own mini “food tour”. However, something I want to dig deeper into is the food scene in Chinatown. The last time I’ve been there was when I was really young and my dad had told me that certain aspects of Chinatown has changed since the pandemic. There were popular food vendors that shut down during the pandemic and I’m curious on what has changed since I last visited.

Something about NYC that will forever hold a special place to me are the views and how beautiful the architecture of each building is. I love the views from certain city rooftops, but I love how one photo can capture the meaning of NYC: chaotic, but calm. I’ll attach one of my favorite city views where I was in a restaurant that was on a high floor where I could see the lights of buildings.
