My name is Alex and I have lived in Staten Island my whole life. I would like to learn more about the current migrant wave coming to NYC, and how it is affecting the diverse communities across the city. I also would like to learn more about the attitudes surrounding the migrant situation from the different people involved politically, and on a community-level. Since I have been raised in Staten Island but am nowhere close to fully exploring it, I wish to learn more about the activities and opportunities there as well. Throughout my fall semester, I have primarily been exploring lower Manhattan, so I wish to learn more (hopefully by traveling there) about the communities in upper Manhattan and the 4 boroughs.

I attached a picture from when I visited Times Square early in the morning; it was super fascinating seeing all the digital billboards of Times Square advertising in the daytime, but with not many people around.
