Hello everyone, I’m Giridhar! I’ve lived in Staten Island my whole life but most of my time is spent in other boros. I went to middle school in Brooklyn and high school in Manhattan. I enjoyed the city experience in high school and am glad to continue it at Hunter. I love trying new restaurants and going on food crawls through Chinatown(live laugh love cheap eats). Some of my favorite memories are going to Chinatown for team dinners and post-show bites. It’s also a big pastime of mine to wander aimlessly in the city with just my music and thoughts.

The Arts last semester was a great class because it helped me explore more of the city and go to shows I otherwise would’ve never experienced. I went to the opera for the first time and went to the galleries in Chelsea(I didn’t even know there were so many there). I’m hopeful for more new experiences and more knowledge about the city this semester, whether it be through class trips or research.

Attached is a picture of the city from my friend’s rooftop. One of the reasons I love the city is because of how beautiful it is at night. It’s a view I will never get tired of.
