Hi! My name is Daniyal! I’m from Queens and have lived in New York my entire life. I enjoy watching spooky movies, reading horror stories, riding thrilling rollercoasters, writing stories and gaming! Sometimes I wear a little stuffed bird thing on my shoulder. His name is Pip. (See attached) When it comes to New York, I’m interested in tourist attractions. I’m curious as to the conception, function and success of tourist attractions in New York. Tourism is in the blood of New York but I wonder why places such as Times Square are so successful. Whenever I’m a tourist and end up in a place like Times Square I’m just met with a bunch of scammers. To me and many other New Yorkers I know, Times Square is overpriced and underwhelming with no real benefit to going. Of course, much of it’s success is due purely to marketing but I’d like to look for reasons beyond that.

Side Note: I ate a bagel today and it was good but soggy and I’m still hungry.
