Part 1/3- Greater Chinatown Community Association

Collaborated research/writing done by Audrey, Ava, and Brooke.

While in Chinatown, Audrey, Ava, and I explored various storefronts, bookstores, fruit cart strips, and tailor shops, while trying to find our inspiration for this week’s post. Eventually, we found the mural that Mike had told us about and, while taking pictures, we noticed a closed-off storefront to the left of it, labeled “Greater Chinatown Community Association”, and adorned with an intricate seal. Because it wasn’t open at the time, we couldn’t go in to ask what the association did or represented, but our interest was piqued. It was the only locale closed within that vicinity, and the mystery of it led to an intense google search as we tried to replicate what we would have found if we’d been able to go inside. What we did find was incredibly interesting.
